Best Headphones For Kindergarten Classroom

Best Headphones For Kindergarten Classroom [Top 6 Reviewed]

Headphones can be a really fun addition to the classroom.

They are a great way to introduce children to things like music, instruments, and computers for the first time.

But what are the best headphones for kindergarten classroom?

Read on for my choices.

“Hi I’m Jessica from Aeon Reviews, and here we will look at the best headphones for kindergarten classroom.”

Introduction

There are a few areas you may wish to consider before buying headphones for kindergarten children.

These are as follows.

Are Headphones Safe For Kindergarten Children?

Headphones are generally considered safe for kindergarten children to wear. However consider such factors as volume and the length of time worn.

Prolonged listening at high volume has the potential to damage the hearing of the child over time.

Also extended use of over ear headphones can also cause delicate little ears to become sore if the headphones clamp too much.

Are Headphones In Kindergarten Class Worth Having?

Headphones can be a great way of helping children focus.

They will reduce the level of background noise and allow children to concentrate.

Some headphones for children also have the option to connect to another pair of headphones, encouraging sharing and enjoyment of a shared experience.

Are Headphones For Kindergarten Children Smaller Than Normal Headphones?

Yes, headphones for this age range are overall smaller than standard adult headphones.

Kindergarten headphones usually have a degree of adjustment in the headband, meaning they can be used by a range of ages, typically from 3 years all the way up to around 10 years old, depending on the child’s head circumference.

Can You Get Wireless Headphones For Kindergarten Children?

Yes, headphones for kindergarten children are available in both wired and wireless varieties.

The wireless varieties usually connect to devices via Bluetooth.

Other things to consider…

Material – What are the headphones made of? Ideally something that has a rubber or plastic finish. This not only makes the headphones durable but it may make the headphones easier to wipe down after having many sticky fingers on them.

Cable – Is is detachable? Is it durable? Consider whether you want a detachable cable, which may be good as any yanked cables will come away from the headset rather than breaking. Some headphones have a braided cable for added toughness, but make sure there is at least a nice thick rubber coating on the cable for durability.

Flexibility – For comfort, make sure the headband has some flexibility, and is also adjustable to the size of the head it will be on. Thankfully most headphones have this feature.

Volume Limiter – Many kids headphones will feature a volume limiter feature. This ensures children cannot accidentality raise the volume too high and damage their hearing.

The Connect+ headphones are a great entry level set of headphones from LilGadgets aimed at 3 to 7 year olds.

Despite being the entry model in their range, these headphones are packed with nice features.

The two tone color scheme of the headphones looks great.

I am reviewing the blue and white here, but there is a choice of 8 color schemes in total.

They not only look good, the headphones feel very solid and durable. Even the hinges are made of stainless steel for extra durability.

Having said that, there are more durable kids headphones on the market.

The Connect+ headphones sound great, and have a built in volume limiter to protect little ears.

These headphones also have a ‘SharePort’ buddy system, which allows to connect another pair of headphones, so two children can listen to one device. Perfect for sharing music and movies!

The Connect+ headphones are also a very comfortable set of headphones thanks to the adjustable headband, and comfortable earpads made of ‘SoftTouch’ Fabric.

You can fold these for storage or transport, and the cable detaches when tuggs to prevent damage.

The closed back design also offers a degree of noise cancellation for the user.

Conclusion…

An award winning set of headphones, that also passes the rigorous CPSC Toy Safety requirements.

They look and feel good, are durable, and make sharing an audio source with another child easy.

The built in volume limiter will also ensure peace of mind when it comes to protecting little ears.

2/ Elecder i37 Kids Headphones (Best Budget Kindergarten Headphones)

Elecder i37 Kids Headphones

Pros

Design
Cons
Lacks Extra Features

TypeOn-Ear Headphones
Connection – Wired 3.5mm Jack
Mic – No

Elecder provide a cost effective, but quality headphone for the kindergarten classroom with the i37.

I like the amount of thought that has gone into these, not just in terms of the sound, but also the look of these headphones.

Starting with the look, the two tone color scheme looks great, and there is also a range of colourful, funky headsets to choose from.

I also like the smooth and seamless design of these.

For the sound, these 40mm drivers provide a sound which is somewhat bass heavy, but the other ranges sit nicely on the soundstage also.

The closed back design also blocks out ambient noise to promote immersive listening.

In terms of how these feel, both the head band and ear pads are comfortable to wear. Despite their small size, the ear pads are quite padded.

These headphones are lightweight and the head band is also adjustable to the head.

For the build quality of these, they feel a really solid pair of headphones that will take a beating if needed!

The downsides of this model is that there is no in-line volume control, or mic.

Other features however include a cord that is covered in material to improve durability. These headphones also fold for portability.

Finally, these headphones come with 1 Year Hassle-Free-Protection.

Conclusion…

A brilliant all round headphone that looks great, and delivers a nice sound.

I can see that thought has gone into build quality here, as these are sturdy and the braided cord is a nice touch.

The lack of a volume limiter is the only real complaint. But the retail price on these make them an absolute bargain regardless!

3/ Egghead Heavy-Duty Kids’ Headphones (Most Durable Kindergarten Headphones)

 Egghead Heavy-Duty Kids Headphones

Pros
Durable
Replaceable Ear Pads
Cons
Basic Design

TypeOver-Ear Headphones
Connection – Wired 3.5mm Jack
Mic – No

The Egghead heavy duty headphones are designed primarily with kindergarten students in mind.

They facilitate a comfortable learning experience for the student, but with an added degree of noise reduction to help the child focus.

One of the most prominent features of this model is the heavy duty ABS plastic headband and housing, which is both durable, comfortable, and adjustable.

I liked that the ear pads are washable & replaceable, making these an economic choice if you don’t want to repeatedly be replacing headsets in the future.

This might be a consideration in a setting like kindergarten.

Includes a heavy duty six-foot braided cord, which doesn’t tangle, and is kink and chew resistant.

The 3.5mm plug is designed to reduce accidental disconnection.

Finally, a re-sealable storage bag is included with each pair of Egghead headphones.

You can choose from red or blue color schemes, and there is also a bulk buy option.

The sound is fairly basic, but passable for typical applications in the kindergarten setting.

Finally, the design is somewhat basic, and there are more eye catching headphones on the market. This may not be a consideration for you though.

Conclusion…

A great pair of entry level headphones.

Hard wearing, cost effective, and an ideal size for kindergarten kids.

4/ LilGadgets Untangled Pro Wireless (Best Wireless Bluetooth Kindergarten Headphones)

LilGadgets Untangled Pro Wireless Review

Do you want all the great features of the LilGadgets headphone series, but with the added bonus of wireless connectivity? Then checkout the LilGadgets Untangled Pro Wireless.

The Untangled Pro Wireless uses Bluetooth to connect to any audio source compatible with Bluetooth technology.

These headphones feature an impressive 12 hours of battery life, with a 180 hour standby.

This model also includes an inline microphone via the 3.5mm cable, giving you an option for a wired connection to an audio device.

The LilGadgets Untangled Pro Wireless also includes all the standard features which made the other headphones in this range so great.

The ‘SharePort’ buddy system is here, allowing you to connect two pairs of these headphones together.

Also includes ‘SoftTouch’ Fabric earpads, and a safety cable system.

The volume limiter to protect ears from high volumes is present also, and the design allows for a degree of noise cancellation.

A microfibre travel bag is included, ensuring you have a bag for storage/transport.

These headphones are priced higher than others on the list, but this is understandable considering all the features included. They are however often on offer.

Conclusion…

The LilGadgets Untangled Pro Wireless isn’t just your average pair of kids headphones with Bluetooth added just to make it wireless.

It features many other features you would want in a pair of headphones for kindergarten, notably the volume limiter feature.

I thought these were just a really impressive pair of headphones overall.

5/ Riwbox WT-7S (Best LED Classroom Headphones)

Pros
Built In Controls
Works Wired or Wireless
Cons
May Benefit From Volume Limiter

TypeOver-Ear Headphones
Connection – Wired Detachable 3.5mm Jack & Wireless Bluetooth Connectivity
Mic – No

Turning up the fun a little are the Riwbox WT-7S Bluetooth Headphones.

Looking like regular kids headphones at a glance, these headphones give children the opportunity to activate LED lights on the ear sections of the headphones.

And these lights actually move with the rhythm of what is being played.

The mounted controls are nice and chunky, making it easy for even a kindergarten kid to turn the headphones on and off for example.

There is a good degree of flexibility in the headband, and the ear pads and nice and comfortable.

Riwbox WT-7S headphones review

These produce a nice natural sound, but with punchy bass thanks to the 40mm drivers.

These work wirelessly using Bluetooth technology, and also have adjustable volume controls.

This could be considered a downside of this model as it doesn’t have the high volume protection that the LilGadget models have.

Conclusion…

Definitely the most fun headphones on this list. Could the LED lights distract children from kindergarten tasks?

Perhaps, but these headphones are great regardless of whether you choose to use them illuminated or not.

6/ Sonitum Kids Headphones (Best Bulk Buy Kindergarten Headphones)

Sonitum Kids Headphones

Pros
Great Value
Easy To Store
Cons
Lacking Features

TypeOver-Ear Headphones
Connection – Wired 3.5mm Jack

If you are buying headphones for the kindergarten, then chances are you will need to buy a number of them.

And with school budgets being tighter than ever, many will look to a bulk buy option.

Fortunately Sonitum offer a bulk buy option for kindergarten headphones, and at great price that doesn’t compromise on quality.

I was impressed with how good these headphones looked for the price.

Each headset comes with a colorful outer casing on the ear cup. As these come in packs of five there are five different colors included.

The ear pads are also really comfortable, and breathable too!

One of the features that impressed me the most with these headphone from Sonitum is the headband.

Not only is it adjustable to fit a range of heads, it is also durable and bendable. Perfect for kindergarten!

Finally the ear cups swivel so the headphone lays flat. This makes it so easy to stack these headphones for storage. No more tangled piles of headphones to contend with!

The price is reflected in some areas however. For example, this model is missing features such as a volume limiter, so keep this in mind.

Conclusion…

Bulk kindergarten headphones are no longer bland, featureless headsets that break easily.

Check out these headsets from Sonitum and be pleasantly surprised by the features you get for the price.
